We've worked in business long enough to know that everyone has "budget restraints". That's why wherever possible we undertake developments on a fixed price basis once we can establish a mutual understanding of what it is going to take to get the job done. Each Taten software component is licensed on a usage basis with a minimum licensing fee for each component and a tiered pricing structure. The unit value of each tier scales down with volumes. Within the Taten Financial DataHub components, there are two ways of calculating software usage - active users or submitted data. Even Hosted, Software as Service or Cloud Computing Solutions can all be boiled down to a simple monthly fee. The basis for calculating licensing fees is defined below. Active UsersCertain software components have the concept of logged in users. The basis for calculating licensing fees for these components is the number of Active Users that are defined within that component. While it is possible for the user of the system to share their login credentials this practice is not encouraged and, for security purposes, if a user shares their login credentials, only one user can have a valid user session at any one point in time. In systems where the user may not log into the component every day, by agreement with Taten, a customer can determine the maximum duration between logins which will define an active user. Once this period has been defined, the software license component will be configured to automatically archive non active users on the third successive period of inactivity.
For example if a customer defines an Active User as someone who logs into a system at least once a month, if the user does not log into the system for two months in succession, on the start of the third month, their user entitlement will automatically be de-activated and in some cases any system data related to that user will be archived or deleted from the system.
Submitted dataThe iApply and iAnalyse components have the concept of submitted data. The basis for calculating licensing fees for these components is the amount of data submitted to the service. In the case of iApply, the submitted data is only calculated for completed applications that have traversed the iApply data conformation screen. In the case of iAnalyse the submitted data is calculated for each data element that has been submitted to the iAnalyse engine and is defined in an iAnalyse data tracking mechanism.
Entry level softwareCertain components that are based on the Financial DataHub engine are available under an entry level licensing scheme. Entry level software pricing is based on the restricted functionality offered which entitles the customer to the standard base features of the software but specifically excludes certain elements of the standard Taten feature set. These items are normally discussed and identified with the client prior to project commencement. Call (03) 9684 0288 or Email to discuss our cost structure in more detail. |
