single sign on

Customer:  IOOF - Australian Wealth Management

Project: -  develop a direct shares trading system for IOOF that can be accessed using a single sign on capability through IOOF's Portfolio Online System.

Summary:

The system is designed to offer share trading capabilities for IOOF’s Adviser/Clients and is powered by Taten's Financial DataHub. The system implemented for IOOF is a non- Direct Market Access (DMA) system whereby an order placed by the direct client or their nominated advisers will be queued into the system which will be then placed into the market.

Alternatively, the client's nominated advisers will access the Order Pad (OP) system by logging into the IOOF Direct Share System (IDSS) via a single sign on capability via the IOOF Portfolio Online System (POL).

The system can be upgraded to be a DMA system in the future if required. DMA Advisers/Direct Clients will be differentiated from non-DMA users by their user class membership.

When they log-in, non-DMA users are presented with the existing Taten Order Pad dashboard summarising their net worth, portfolio, watch list, company announcements and provision of the ASX lookup function.

The logged in menu functions also include a selection for the Order Pad functionality. Selecting the “Order Pad” menu, will display the Taten Order Pad, which provides retail customers with the ability to place and monitor their orders in the market.

The following functions are available within the Order Pad:

  • Watch List: display market pricing for the user’s monitored codes.
  • Place an Order: allow users to place or amend orders online.
  • Order Status: display a summary of the user’s open, executed and cancelled orders
  • Company Announcements: displays links to the ASX Company Announcements based on the user’s watchlist and portfolio with the ability to filter for a specific code.
  • Price Charts: provides a number of price chart options for a particular code.
  • Corporate Actions and DRP: Market Data feed is used to monitor market announcements and to create and action workflow items for Corporate Action and DRP events

The Corporate Action (CA) and DRP module includes following major functions:

  • Diary which includes CA and DRP data feed and workflow management
  • CA and DRP notification which includes preparation of election forms and CA publication
  • CA and DRP Data Load which loads client data that is specific to the individual CA
  • CA and DRP election process
  • CA received which includes notification of CA completion, printing output forms for registry and
  • Closing of workflow items
  • CA Cancellation and DRP suspension
