Any of the core products that make up Taten's Financial DataHub framework can be installed on a customer's infrastructure, on Taten managed infrastructure or on third party infrastructure.

All of Taten's applications use Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) which gives us the flexibility to use WCF (Windows Communication Foundation)  as either Web Services or TCP/IP communication - depending on the customer's environment. 

Database changes are managed from scripts which, in a typical application, Taten will provide to the customer.   Any relevant scripts are provided to the customer's DBA who will update and run the scripts accordingly.

However, there is a tradeoff between the customer hosting the application or using a third party external host.  As a customer, you need to decide what’s best for your organisation and what your core strengths are.

If you don't have the technical ability inhouse to manage fairly sophisticated applications then you are far better getting someone else to manage it. 

Taten uses reputable and recognised third party hosting suppliers to managed and host our infrastructure and applications.    However, if our customers choose to use their own internal or external hosting environment,  we say as long as it’s a Microsoft based server solution, then we are happy to work with them.
